Previous raid experience (including pre TBC and pre WotLK)?
On this particular toon, I raided ZG, MC, BWL, AQ20/40, and Naxx at level 60. In BC I raided Kara, Grulls, Mags, SSC and TK on this mage. I raided with Paradigm SSC/TK, BT, and SWP on my druid Notatree. In Wrath, I've been with Midnight Train on my DK Arrin up to ICC hard-modes.
Do you have any World of Logs or WWS reports that show your raid performance?
I do not have any current logs for my mage. I can upload 7/25/2010's ToGC log to the World of Logs site if you would like that for reference.
Explain your raid spec as best as you can.
My current raid spec is cookie cutter 57/3/11 Arcane due to it being the "best" spec for my gear level. Arcane provides amazing DPM control to tailor the DPS output based on the current stage of a fight which I find makes it very flexible. I am experienced in playing deepfire and look forward to changing specs into fire once I attain the gear needed to properly support that spec.
Give a list of the consumables, including numbers, that you think you should bring for a full 4 hour progression-based raid.
No less then 10x flasks, 40x Speed Potions, 2 stacks of Spellpower food, and a stack each of HP and Mana potions.
What role do you see yourself filling, generally speaking? Feel free to elaborate on the obvious.
I will fulfill the role of ranged dps while doing my best to stand outside of fire. I might make food for you if I like you.
Please list your availability for each day of the week. We are an EAST COAST SERVER (EST) so please indicate your availability in that timezone. Please note that we raid 4 nights a week, typically from 7:30 - 11:30, sometimes going a little later. Making an average of 3 raids a week (75% attendance) is expected.
Sun: All Day
Mon: 6:00pm-11:30pm
Tue: 6:00pm-11:30pm
Wed: 6:00pm-11:30pm
Thu: 6:00pm-11:30pm
Fri: 6:00pm-11:30pm
Sat: All Day
The only reason I would potentially be late or interrupted from a raid would be if my daughter needs something. These afks will be short and far between.
Typically we do not take official breaks during raids. Instead, we encourage people to take time during trash to use the bathroom, get drinks or snacks, etc. Make your own breaks. That being said, do you have regular prior commitments during the 7:30 - 11:30 timeframe that may require you to take an extended break (Examples: Homework, Family Time, Dinner)? None, other then baby, which is unscheduled.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING RAIDING
Regardless of Blizzard's paradigm when it comes to "Bring the person, not the class", there will always be times when we will need an alternate class or spec to fill a raid spot. Ocassionally, we will ask people to sit and/or switch specs for an encounter or even a night if we feel that we need to stack in our favor.
You are expected to show up on time and at the raid entrance to the best of your ability fully stocked, repaired, and read up on the fights we'll be attempting for the night. Not being ready in any of these departments may result in lower invite priority, lower loot priority, and a general disdain from your fellow guildies. We're a tightly knit guild: trust me, you don't want that.
We handle drops with a Loot Council. Loot is given out based on attendance, performance, attitude, and aptitude. As a new recruit, understand that you are lower on the list to receive loot and may not see drops sent your way until your trial period is over. What you earn is relative to what you put in for all of the above criteria.
Lastly, but certainly not least, we expect people to be reasonable in terms of behavior on vent and in game. This goes for anything as simple as being courteous to fellow guildies and keeping vent clear when needed to the more subtle aspects of being able to fess up to your own mistakes, actively taking criticism and taking responsibility for your own actions. We do not enforce age restrictions for our members, but you are expected to act and behave like an adult regardless.
***Please note that this subsection does NOT contain questions, but rather statements pertaining to our raid protocol. Feel free to respond however, if you have anything you'd like to comment on regarding these statements.***
MORE ABOUT YOU
What prompted you to apply to Midnight Train?
It's my WoW home. There's no other place I'd consider going.
What guilds have you been in and what were your reasons for leaving?
Last guild I was in outside of Midnight Train/Paradigm was The Riddle of Steel on Gurubashi during early TBC. The guild could not maintain a steady schedule and was also PST based time, which made attending the raids that did happen very difficult.
Do you have anyone in your previous guild(s) who can vouch for you?
There is only 1 person I've kept in touch with from my Riddle of Steel days, and he hasn't seen me play a mage since BC.
Do you have anyone in Midnight Train who can vouch for you?
Probably not. I can probably bribe a few to give me a vouch though.
Do you own the account that holds the character you wish to raid with?
Yes, and I am the only one who can access it. Even Lyliee can't get in.
Is there anyone else who plays the account other than yourself? (If so, understand that actions taken by the character represent YOU regardless of who is playing at the time, and will reflect as such in regards to said behavior.)
No one besides myself.
We're a guild built on open communications. We realize that when it's raid time, things can be said that are harsh and critical, but it's only to better the player and the guild as a whole, and not a direct attack. Are you able to take criticism with an open mind? If not, are you willing to learn?
I expect regular criticism. Probably don't know there's a problem unless someone speaks up.
Post a screenshot of your UI. Please explain any hidden keybinds or macros you may have.

I use both a G15 and a G13 gamepad. My binds are stored in the Logitech software - which in turns stores it directly on the G13's memory. This is for portability purposes. the vast majority of my keybinds are not visible in the WoW window as a result. This is the same method I used for my DK tanking days. The only things I intentionally (but are usually important) have unbound are my CD macro and Evocate. I hate accidentally hitting them while button mashing. My mouse stays homed in between my managems and Iceblock for quick access to the abilities I've chosen not to bind.
CLOSING STATEMENTS - SIGNATURE
This is going to sound way too formal, but it saves us a lot of heartache in the long run, so make sure you read and understand this all.
-By submitting this application, you are applying to join Midnight Train, an EST Mannoroth PvE focused guild.
-If you are asked to go on a trial run, understand that you will be treated as any other member on the run in terms of performance. If you run a trial on a raid, mechanics will be explained if needed, but it is still expected that you have a strong foundation and understanding of your class. You are expected to cover the cost of reagents, potions, elixirs, repairs, etc. on your own.
-If you are asked to go on a trial run, you will NOT receive priority on loot over anyone unless that item would otherwise be DE'd. This includes off-spec items for other people that are part of the raid.
-By signing below with your applying character's name and the words "I AGREE TO THE PREVIOUS STATEMENTS", you affirm that the information you've provided is as accurate as you can make it, that this character is YOUR OWN and ON YOUR OWN ACCOUNT, and that you understand and agree with the previous closing statements, including this one.
